First off are projects that are entering or are currently in beta, and should hopefully be released before the end of the year, or perhaps even next month. Nicole, by Winter Wolves is available as a demo with pre-orders available and is considered to be in the open beta phase. Nicole is part dating sim, life simulator, and mystery story all in one. Sake Visual's Backstage Pass is entering a closed beta phase now. Backstage Pass is an otome dating sim where you take on the role of a character who is both makeup artist and student. Last on the beta list is Break Chance Memento over at Cyanide Tea. Break Chance Memento had been in development for awhile, but should be entering beta soon. In the mean time you can download the demo from the Break Chance Memento page and check it out.
Lastly I would like to highlight some expanded platforms and availability for existing titles. Once again Steam's Greenlight is going to come up, and I for one wholly support getting more EVNs on Steam because the exposure and profitability there is an amazing step for any developer. Hanako Games, which is no stranger to Steam, has gotten the green light on Long Live the Queen, a life simulation about the perils of power and nobility. The Steam release is coming soon, check the Greenlight page for updates. You might also like to know that the game also just recently released on GOG, so here's hoping that becomes yet another option for EVN developers. I am going to wrap this up with a bit of news from Christine Love as she has managed to get an iOS Version of Analogue: A Hate Story in the works, as well as a Japanese release. Is the EVN community coming full circle? I think it might be! That's all for now folks, and enjoy your weekend!
